Time to get silly in the circus!

If EVE Online were a circus game, I think it would be a ‘random chance’ game, like one of those booths that gives you the chance to try to win a prize. It could be a shooting gallery, or a fishing booth, or some other booth where you have to compete, perform, or engage to win a prize.

Even if you ‘win,’ you might not actually earn the prize. Sometimes the booth attendant may even punch you in the face if you win or lose, or another player may hit you, too! That fist that hits you may contain a prize, or it may contain barbs.

Here’s something special about that booth – you’re not forced to play. You play only if you want to, without any expectation of actually getting something from it.

Such is EVE Online – the stuff of random chance, lucky victories, or falling victim to despicable, unfortunate, unpredictable circumstances.
